You are able to climb to an altitude, turn off the motor, and gently glide until you are almost out of altitude ?then, simply turn the motor back on to resume powered flight. Altitude, speed, and turning radius can all be precisely controlled by the proportional rudder and elevator. It flies at a perfect speed for parks and baseball fields, and can handle more wind than the Vortex. The wing's dihedral and a low center-of-gravity further the Vortex Extreme a simple and stable flyer. All new pilots crash, so the Vortex Extreme has been designed to prevent crash damage. The wing has no weak points because it is a single piece. The propeller is located behind the fuselage to prevent broken props and damaged gear housings.
